Mauricio Pochettino switched his attention to Tottenham's Europa League campaign after his side were dumped out of the FA Cup by Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Premier League's form team saw their challenge for silverware reduced to two fronts as Martin Kelly's first-half strike edged an entertaining encounter at White Hart Lane.
Spurs will have to pick themselves up quickly with games coming thick and fast for the north London club - they host Fiorentina in their delicately-poised last-32 European tie on Thursday, following a 1-1 draw in Florence last week.
And, speaking at his post-match press conference, Pochettino was keen to put Sunday's defeat to one side in favour of focusing on the challenges ahead.
"We were a little bit unlucky and we need to accept that. We need to be ready for Thursday, where we have another cup final," the Spurs boss said.
"We have nothing to complain about. We create enough chances to score and win the game but it was our mistake [not to take chances].
"We take every game seriously and we play the way we need to play to win every game, but the next game is the most important now that Palace are through in the FA Cup."
Spurs created numerous chances in an open and entertaining cup tie, which saw former Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor return to to face his old side.
The visitors started well but were unable to find a way past Wayne Hennessey in the Palace goal and, when they did, the woodwork kept them at bay - most notably when Dele Alli struck both posts in the first half.
And, asked whether Alli's effort typified Spurs' day, Pochettino added: "It's true, it wasn't our day.
"We are very disappointed because we deserved more but in football when you don't score it's difficult to play.
"We started the game very well, in the first 20 minutes we created a lot of chances and, in the end, we deserved more.
"So I am disappointed because the effort was big from the players but we didn't get the victory.
"This was competition that would have been exciting for us if we had gone far, but every team we play has tough players and every game is like a cup final for us.
"In one month, we have 10 games and that is very difficult for the team. But that is no excuse, we played much better today so we deserved more."
