Shilow Tracey completes move to Tottenham from Ebbsfleet

White Hart Lane ahead of kick-off between Tottenham and Aston Villa

Tottenham have completed the signing of midfielder Shilow Tracey from non-league Ebbsfleet United for an undisclosed fee.

The 17-year-old will go straight into Tottenham's development squad, who are currently managed by former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender Ugo Ehiogu.

Ebbsfleet have said Tottenham secured the signing of Tracey ahead of a host of other clubs, including Crystal Palace and West Ham.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for Shilow and we are proud of the fact that our youth academy is producing quality young players just one year after we set it up," Ebbsfleet vice chairman Peter Varney told the club's official website

"I would like to thank Spurs for the professional manner in which they have handled the transfer negotiations. I must also recognise the work done with Shilow by Daryl McMahon and his staff in our youth academy."
