Leicester have offered a new three-year contract to defender Liam Moore, who has been a target for Reading this summer.
The Championship club have already offered the 23-year-old a similar deal as they look to strengthen their back-line.
That bid is currently in the hands of the Premier League champions, who are clearly keen to retain the player.
Sky Sports HQ understands Moore is keen to work with new Reading manager Jaap Stam.
Moore, who has 10 England U21 caps, has been on loan with Bradford, Brentford and Bristol City since 2011.
