After full-time in the Merseyside derby, Jurgen Klopp confronted an Everton ball boy who appeared to clap sarcastically at the Liverpool manager

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was taunted over his record in cup finals by the Everton ball boy seen sarcastically clapping him at the end of Sunday's Merseyside derby.

Liverpool missed a number of big chances in a tense encounter that finished 0-0 at Goodison Park. The draw dealt a serious blow to Liverpool's title challenge and frustration was apparent at full-time.

There was an interesting exchange after the match between Klopp and an Everton ball boy - he was sarcastically applauding the Liverpool boss and reportedly said: "How was the World Cup Final for you? You didn't win this one either".

The German labelled the game on Sunday as Everton's 'World Cup Final' last week, while Klopp has contested seven cup finals as a manager - four at Borussia Dortmund and three with Liverpool - but only won one of them.

After then receiving a thumbs up, the Liverpool manager had a few words with the boy before walking off down the tunnel.
