Everton have confirmed that youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin has signed a new five-year contract.
Sky sources reported earlier this week that the 20-year-old had agreed to new terms after breaking into the Everton first team this season.
He said: "I hadn't expected things to move as fast as they have and to have played against the teams I have done, so I'm very grateful for that and I'm working hard every day to improve.
"It only feels like yesterday when I was signing for Everton, so to be here now is a great feeling. My leap into the first-team was a bit quicker than expected and I'm now really enjoying being part of the first-team squad."
Calvert-Lewin joined Everton from Sky Bet League One side Sheffield United last August for £1.5m, signing a four-year deal.
He made his debut for the club in the win over Arsenal in December and has gone on to make a further nine appearances and scored his first Premier League goal in the victory over Hull.
Calvert-Lewin, who has previously spent time on loan at Northampton and Stalybridge Celtic, has also played a pivotal role in Everton's U23s securing the Premier League 2 title this term, scoring four goals in nine matches.
He has represented England at under-20 level and managed to score four goals in eight appearances.
