Morgan Schneiderlin could be out for "several weeks" after the Everton midfielder injured a calf in the win over Hull City.

The France international was substituted after 30 minutes of the resounding 4-0 victory, with Gareth Barry taking his place.

Manager Ronald Koeman confirmed after the game that Schneiderlin will be sent for a scan to assess the extent of the injury.

"I am a little bit worried that he will be out for several weeks but we will have to wait until the scan of tomorrow to know what really happened," he said.

Writing on Twitter about the injury, Schneiderlin said: "I will know more about my injury on Monday.

"But be sure I will do everything to come back asap."
