Ronald Koeman was pleased with Everton's defensive display as they drew 0-0 with Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The Toffees kept their fourth clean sheet in six Premier League matches to stretch their unbeaten run in the league to eight games.
They also had chances to win it as Romelu Lukaku was denied by Victor Valdes in the first half and Ademola Lookman saw a couple of efforts saved.
"The team performance was okay," Everton manager Koeman told Sky Sports. "It's the fourth clean sheet in the last six and that's really positive. We like to keep the momentum.
"It was difficult to create, they have strong defensive organisation in the team and it's not easy to score."
Koeman said he felt the draw was "fair", although added his side had the better opportunities.
"It was a difficult game for both teams, the defences were stronger than the strikers, although we had the best chances in the game," he said.
"One or two really open opportunities in the first and second half, then maybe they were a little bit more aggressive to score a goal in the second half. It's a fair result."
Lukaku was largely subdued as he looked to equal Duncan Ferguson's Everton record of 60 Premier League goals, but Koeman said: "He is always dangerous, he was working hard for the team.
"He got his big chance but it's also about goalkeepers and Valdes had two or three big saves in the game. That's also the quality of the goalkeeper."
Everton do not play in the league for two weeks until they host Sunderland on February 25.
"Normally you like to continue but we know the schedule" said Koeman. "We have some time to recover and prepare ourselves. The team will finish strong and then everything is possible."
