Ronald Koeman is pleased with his transfer business in January and hopeful of a positive end to Everton's season.
Everton head into Saturday's home clash with Bournemouth unbeaten in their last six Premier League games after battling back from an early deficit to claim a 1-1 draw at Stoke in midweek.
Koeman was able to add Morgan Schneiderlin and Ademola Lookman to his squad last month and also has another midfielder - Idrissa Gana Gueye - back after representing Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.
He said: "I am very satisfied. First of all we had some players without any futures to get game time and they are now away from the club.
"We have a really small squad but enough numbers to compete. All have the opportunities to play, start or be on the bench. That is good for the team that everyone is involved."
Despite the size of the squad, Koeman is happy with the competition for places throughout, most notably in the centre of midfield, where Gueye offers him another option now he is rested after his return to England just before the Stoke game.
Koeman added: "Gana was one of the key players before, but everyone knows at the moment we have five good midfield players.
"It's a tough decision for the manager but I like to have it. Yes I have made the decision, I always make it early.. but I won't tell."
The situation is similar in goal where Joel Robles has taken the chance afforded to him by an injury to Maarten Stekelenburg and impressed during Everton's improved run of results.
"It's not fair," Koeman said. "At the start of the season we made the decision to put Maarten [Stekelenburg] in and he was unlucky that his injury was five, six, seven games and in that time Joel did well and there was no reason to change.
"At the moment there's no reason to change Joel. Sometimes it's nice for Joel, difficult for Maarten. But I like to be fair."
