Ronald Koeman bemoaned a lack of concentration from Everton as they were beaten 2-1 in the FA Cup third round by Leicester on Saturday.

Romelu Lukaku put the Toffees ahead in the 63rd minute when he finished from substitute Gerard Deulofeu's cross.

But Ahmed Musa replied with two goals in quick succession to secure victory for the Foxes.

"In my opinion, it's not bad luck - we did it by ourselves," said Koeman. "It was unbelievable how we dropped back after going 1-0 up and there was a lack of concentration.

"When I look at the equaliser, there was no pressing on the ball and we gave a fast player like Musa a chance to score and he did that.

"We did the most difficult thing by scoring the opening goal because Leicester were playing very defensively.

"After scoring, I don't understand why we lost the game, but if you play like we did after going ahead then you're asking to concede goals.

"Everybody is disappointed. But we are still in a good position in the league table and I know that we need to change."

Koeman also stressed his eagerness to improve the squad this month with new signings.

"I know what we need to change and if everyone opens their eyes today maybe we will get further on our improvement as a team," he said.

"Because that's really what we need and that's all about what happens this month.

"I hope everybody realises what the team needs to play and to get results that meet the expectations at this club."
