Alan Smith dissected Arsenal's 3-0 win over Watford and reflected on the empty seats once again visible at the Emirates.
Goals from Shkodran Mustafi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored as the Gunners - helped by Troy Deeney's penalty miss at a crucial stage - secured a morale-boosting victory ahead of Thursday's Europa League second leg against AC Milan.
But Arsene Wenger's side, who have fallen well off the pace in the top-four battle, remain in the spotlight and while the official attendance was clocked at 59,131, patches of empty red seats were again evident.
Speaking to Sky Sports' Alex Scott, Smith said after the game: "It's the situation at the club - there's a lot of unhappiness, a lot of lethargy, I'd say.
"It was a freezing cold night against Manchester City and not many gave Arsenal too much of a chance but whether it's Watford or whoever, you'd previously expected the stadium to be full.

"It's the situation we find ourselves in - even when Mustafi's goal went in there wasn't much of a roar.
"These are the things that (majority shareholder) Stan Kroenke would look at as, financially, it will hurt the club. But I think you'll see it for the remaining home games."
