Former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson believes Arsene Wenger has made the right call by confirming David Ospina will start against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.

Ospina, who featured in every round of the competition apart from the third-round victory over Norwich, has been told by Wenger that he will keep his place for Sunday's Wembley final, live on Sky Sports.

The Colombia international goalkeeper is yet to start a Premier League game this season but did play in last season's FA Cup final win over Chelsea.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is waiting to see if midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil will be fit to play in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

And Wilson says Petr Cech will not be missed as Ospina can handle big-game pressure.

"Any goalkeeper is going to have a very busy afternoon playing against this current City team," he said.

"I understand why Ospina will play but every goalkeeper is in that position where you are the muggins if you make an error and it would also come back on Wenger, arguably.

Ever wondered what goes on in the changing room before a huge game? Sky Sports' Alan Smith talks of his matchday memories as he visits Arsenal's dressing room at Wembley ahead of Sunday's Carabao Cup final.

"He is not the first-choice in the Premier League but there isn't a million miles between him and Cech and I think he is a very solid goalkeeper."

"He is 100 per cent one of the best second-choice goalkeepers in the Premier League," he continued.

"The experience he has and the calmness when things aren't going is needed. He will be really up for it, he will know what is required and is likely to perform.

"It is one of the positives about Wenger that he will stick to his word and his word was that Ospina would play throughout this competition which will also give the goalie more confidence."
