Who should Arsenal sign in the January transfer window?

The Gunners are five points off Liverpool in fourth place in the Premier League and could do with reinforcements to get back into the Champions League.

Sky sources understand that Arsenal have made a fresh enquiry for West Brom captain Jonny Evans as they look to bolster their defensive options, while the Gunners have also been linked with a move for midfielder William Carvalho, despite Sporting Lisbon's president insisting he's not for sale.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal will let Alexis Sanchez go this month if they can sign Riyad Mahrez. While Don Balon report that Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid could be another option.

Up front Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would get fans excited at the Emirates, despite Arsene Wenger saying signing the Borussia Dortmund striker is "not possible", and Arsenal are still one of the clubs keen on signing Thomas Lemar, according to the Express.

The Independent claim a move for Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon is a possibility, while the Daily Star reports that Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred is also on Arsenal's radar.

Elsewhere, Julian Draxler of PSG remains a target according to the Daily Mail, as does Nabil Fekir of Lyon, according to the Metro.
