Arsenal continued their preparations for the new Premier League season with a 4-0 victory over Boreham Wood at Meadow Park.
On what proved to be a comfortable night for Arsene Wenger's men, the Frenchman was on hand before kick-off to officially open Boreham Wood's brand new Desso pitch.
The FA Cup was also on show at Meadow Park as the Gunners, who handed starts to full-backs Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy, took an early lead from the penalty spot with Chuba Akpom holding his nerve to convert past goalkeeper Grant Smith in the 12th minute.
Stephy Mavididi doubled the visitors advantage 12 minutes later before Jon Toral added a third just before the interval.
Mavididi rounded off the scoring early in the second-half, poking home from close range after a scramble in the penalty area to grab his second of the night.
