Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has vowed to donate £50 for every minute he plays for Spain at the U21 European Championships to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
Police have confirmed that at least 30 people died in the fire that engulfed the block of flats in north Kensington, but Sky News understands the number of missing - feared dead - is around 70.
Spain begin their campaign against Macedonia at the Stadion GOSiR in Gdynia, Poland, on Saturday, with Bellerin expected to start.
If Spain reach the tournament's final, the 22-year-old's donation could exceed £22,500.
Bellerin becomes the latest footballer to pledge his support to the victims of the disaster, with Manchester City and England winger Raheem Sterling confirming earlier this week that he will make a substantial financial donation.
Former Aldershot, Shrewsbury and Plymouth striker Marvin Morgan staged a celebrity football match on Friday in a bid to raise £10,000 for the fund.
Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison took part in the game, while Brentford captain Harlee Dean, Portsmouth forward Jamal Lowe and Peterborough midfielder Anthony Grant were also among the names to feature.
