Arsene Wenger says his Arsenal side were "a bit jaded" as they drew 0-0 with Middlesbrough at the Emirates.
Boro had the better of the chances on Saturday, with Arsenal dominating possession but struggling to break down the visitors' stubborn defence.
Wenger, whose side beat Ludogorets on Wednesday night 6-0, admits Arsenal were carrying a few heavy legs following the short gap between games, and added that he was frustrated with the result.
He told Sky Sports: "Yes of course [I am frustrated], and the players as well, we wanted to win this game. We were a bit jaded, Boro defended well, and we had 75 per cent possession, and exposed ourselves to counter attacks in the first half.
"We lacked creativity in the final third and didn't make enough of the set pieces. We are not happy with it, but at least we didn't lose it.
"Sometimes you get false feelings when you play like that, when we don't score and don't push enough to score the first goal, and then slowly Boro gained confidence and were very quick on the break, and it became a different game for us."
Wenger's side are still unbeaten since the opening game of the season, picking up 20 points out of a possible 27 in the Premier League.
Despite the disappointment, he refused to get too carried away with the result, and reiterated that mentally and physically his side were tired.
"Of course [it's a missed opportunity]. When you don't win at home it's always a missed opportunity, but we shouldn't be too catastrophic, we played on Wednesday night and played today,
"You could see that in some heads and legs, mentally we were not as sharp as we are used to, and some legs need two or three days recovery."
Asked if Wenger would have a celebratory drink on his 67th birthday, the Frenchman replied: "A little one. Maybe to get the frustration out.
"In football of course, you are always under stress, but I am used to it, and I am now just focusing on the next game against Reading on Tuesday night."
