As we preview the new Premier League season, we pick out five questions for Arsenal.
What have they done in the transfer market?
Arsenal made a big signing before Euro 2016 when they added Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka to their squad in a £34m deal. The former Borussia Monchengladbach man offers the presence in the centre of the pitch that many supporters have been calling for.
Arsene Wenger is likely to continue his faith in youth with Rob Holding arriving from Bolton but an injury crisis at the back could force his hand and he is still keen to add an experienced forward player too. Supporters will not be entirely comfortable with their title hopes relying on the scoring form of Olivier Giroud once again.
What does the manager say?
"At the moment I have not too many attacking options in terms of experienced players. We will still look outside for one more … I personally believe that no matter what you do, it's never enough. In the Premier League, every club is hugely ambitious. With the cheques that everybody signs, it's quite scary. But I believe we know what we have to do."
What is the pundit verdict?
"If Arsenal had bought a world-class centre forward and centre-half I would have picked them for the title, but they haven't. It would probably help them in the long term if they didn't finish in the top four one year because it would force them to make some changes - but I expect them to be around fourth." - Paul Merson
What's your prediction?
Arsenal are the 11/2 fourth favourites with Sky Bet to lift the Premier League title and they're 4/7 on to finish among the top four for a 21st season in a row. Alexis Sanchez is 20/1 to be the Premier League top goalscorer with Giroud available at 25/1.
