Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has been hospitalised after falling ill from food poisoning, according to Nigeria coach Samson Siasia.

The 19-year-old, who played for England at U16, U17 and U18 levels before committing his future to the Super Eagles, was too sick to train with the rest of the squad ahead of Friday's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt.

"He suffered from food poisoning and so was not part of the training. But his condition is stable," said Siasia.
