Alexis Sanchez says a lack of self-belief could prevent Arsenal winning the Premier League title this season.

After leaders Leicester were held at home by West Brom on Tuesday evening, Arsenal had the chance to close within three points against relegation-threatened Swansea 24 hours later.

However, goals from Wayne Routledge and Ashley Williams cancelled out Joel Campbell's opening to give the visitors three precious points on a night which also saw title rivals Tottenham lose at West Ham.

The defeat followed the 3-2 loss at Old Trafford last weekend and Sanchez, who hit the woodwork twice at the Emirates, believes a lack of confidence among the players is to blame for a run which has seen them win just three times in their last 11 matches.

Sky football pundit Phil Thompson thinks Arsenal aren't showing enough fight to win the Premier League.

"If we go out on to to the pitch with hunger to become champions, to win the Premier League or the Champions League we can achieve it," he told DirecTV.

"There are great players here, I train with them daily and they have got the mentality and the desire to win.
