Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be sidelined for up to two months because of a knee injury.
The England international has been struggling with a knee problem after a challenge with Javier Mascherano in the Gunners' 2-0 defeat at home to Barcelona on February 23.
Manager Arsene Wenger admitted ahead of the Super Sunday defeat at Manchester United that the injury was more of a concern than initially realised.
And on Tuesday, speaking ahead of Wednesday's home clash with Swansea, Wenger revealed the latest medical update on the 22-year-old, although the good news was that he does not need surgery.
Asked about Oxlade-Chamberlain's potential lay-off, Wenger said: "Six to eight weeks out - no surgery. We did fear surgery at some stage when you saw the MRI but in the end, on that front, we got positive news."
On the prospect of being available for Euro 2016 for England in the summer, the Frenchman added: "He should be."
