Danny Drinkwater apologises for tackle on Aaron Ramsey in Leicester's loss to Arsenal

Aaron Ramsey has revealed Danny Drinkwater apologised to him at full-time for his heavy challenge during Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Leicester on Super Sunday.
The Gunners moved within two points of the Premier League leaders after second-half goals from Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck saw them snatch all three points.
Jamie Vardy had put Leicester in front from the penalty spot just before half-time, but their task of maintaining their advantage was made harder in the 54th minute when Danny Simpson was sent-off after receiving his second yellow card of the match for bringing down Olivier Giroud.
However, Leicester may consider themselves fortunate not to have ended the match with nine men after Drinkwater managed to avoid punishment for a reckless tackle on Ramsey in the 72nd minute.
But, in response to a tweet discussing the challenge made by Drinkwater, Ramsey said on Twitter: "Yes @the_baldwinners, was a sore one but credit to him, apologised straight after the game."
Sky sources understand Leicester are confident the Football Association will not take any retrospective action against Drinkwater after being told by referee Martin Atkinson that he saw the challenge and did not deem it worthy of any action.
