Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has urged his side to make things "unpleasant" for Manchester City when the two teams meet in the Champions League on Wednesday.
City travel to face the Reds in the first leg of their quarter-final tie on Wednesday night as the last two English sides left in the competition go head-to-head at Anfield.
Klopp is keen to make things as uncomfortable as possible for the Premier League leaders and insists his team's high-pressing attacking style of play can cause Pep Guardiola's side problems.
"The way we attack the opponent, the way we defend high is unpleasant (for our opponents). If we do that well they will have some difficulty coping with it," Klopp told UEFA.com.
"It will be very exciting. There's no guarantee this will work. In the end it's the lads on the pitch who will decide the game," he added.
Liverpool suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat at the Etihad in September, before ending City's unbeaten run in the league with a 4-3 win at Anfield in January.
Klopp is expecting more goals in the Champions League and admits his side cannot afford to play defensively against their free-scoring opponents.
"It'll be about doing more things right than the opponents, because you can't simply defend against City and hope that they won't score on the day," he said. "They're just too good."
Klopp believes there is little difference between himself and Pep Guardiola with regards to their style of football.
"There's no big difference, actually. It's just that Pep has always had better teams than me," he said.
"You can see that now with Manchester City they have a lot more points than we do. However, that difference has never been as small as it is now.
"When we coached at Bayern and Dortmund respectively, that difference was really big."
