Liverpool have voiced their pride in backing Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign and have made a number of plans to support the initiative before their Premier League match against Chelsea on Saturday.
The initiative will have players, clubs and fans showing support for LGBT communities, and runs from November 24 to December 3.
Liverpool's fixture at Anfield against Chelsea on Saturday will see the club support the campaign with the captain wearing a rainbow armband as well as rainbow-branded ball plinths, pitch flags, LED boards and a dedicated article in the programme.
The founder of LGBT Liverpool supporters club Kop Outs, Paul Amann, will be also be interviewed on stage in the Paisley Square fan zone to talk about the group and the campaign.
"We are proud to be supporting the Rainbow Laces campaign again this year, helping to promote inclusion, equality and diversity in sport," Simon Thornton, Liverpool's Equality & Diversity Officer, said.
"This is something that the club is really passionate about and continues to work hard at making advances in."
Amann said: "Having the club and our captain supporting the Rainbow Laces campaign gives our anthem real meaning to LGBT people, and helps LGBT people be valued as part of the LFC family."
