The Guinea international has a £48m release clause in his contract, although that does not become active until next summer.

Jurgen Klopp has also confirmed that Lazar Markovic's Liverpool career is effectively over.

Newcastle United have been told to spend £10m for Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo or he will be loaned elsewhere, according to The Sun.
