Former Liverpool attacking midfielder Luis Garcia has "no doubt" Jurgen Klopp's Reds will clinch Champions League qualification come the end of the season, if they keep working as they are.
Garcia spent three seasons at Anfield between 2004 and 2007, winning the Champions League with the club against AC Milan in 2005.
The former Spain international made 122 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions during his time with the club, scoring 31 goals, including two in Merseyside derbies against Everton.
Liverpool next face their nearest neighbours in the derby at Anfield on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 1 HD, and Garcia revealed it's a different type of game to the norm.
"It's always a different game," Garcia told Sky Sports News HQ about the Merseyside derby. "These type of games are only three points we all know but they are different.
"Anything can happen and I'm sure the players, with a game like this one, are going to go for it."
Liverpool currently sit fourth in the Premier League table on 56 points, but have played two more games than fifth-placed Manchester United, who sit on 52 points.
Garcia is confident though that Liverpool will indeed go on to clinch Champions League football for next season.
"I think it's still there [Champions League qualification for Liverpool]," Garcia added. "It was the target at the beginning of the season and it's the one they have to continue working for.
"I think the team is ready for it, it's true they had a down period during the first part of 2017 but I'm sure of the reaction they're going to have.
"They have the perfect manager to do it. We know what he is capable of doing with this team and they've shown it before during the first part of the league.
"I don't have a doubt that if they continue working the same way they will be in the top four at the end of the season."
