Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge are both doubts for the Super Sunday visit of Burnley to Anfield.
The pair have both missed the last two matches, Henderson with a foot problem while Sturridge had a virus and then suffered a hip injury.
It is understood neither have returned to full training yet and were not able to rejoin their team-mates on Wednesday.
Sturridge has not started a game since the EFL Cup semi-final defeat to Southampton on January 25, although he has played twice as a substitute since then.
He has scored just six goals this season as Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has used Roberto Firmino as his primary centre-forward.
Skipper Henderson, however, has been a regular in Klopp's teams and had made 27 appearances before he was injured last month.
