Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has won the goal of the month award for September after his spectacular strike against Chelsea.
The 26-year-old's long-range effort helped Jurgen Klopp's side to a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge as part of an impressive start to the season which has seen them lose just once in all competitions so far.
Liverpool captain Henderson has also enjoyed a fine individual start to the Premier League campaign and recently skippered England in the 0-0 draw with Slovenia in their World Cup qualifier.
"It's definitely one of the best goals I've scored, if not the best," Henderson said. "I took a good touch, looked up and just thought I'd have a go.
"As soon as it left my boot really I thought it had a chance."
Henderson's strike topped a shortlist of eight goals after the votes of a panel of experts and the public were combined. The Liverpool midfielder's manager, Jurgen Klopp, picked up the manager of the month award.
Middlesbrough's Cristhian Stuani picked up the August prize for his long-distance effort against Sunderland.
