Jurgen Klopp is not surprised by Sadio Mane's impressive early-season form for Liverpool.
After finding the net on his competitive debut against Arsenal, Mane produced a superb performance against Burton in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.
The 24-year-old forward, who missed last weekend's defeat to Burnley with a shoulder injury, had a hand in three goals as Klopp's side comfortably defeated their Championship opponents 5-0 at the Pirelli Stadium.
Liverpool broke their transfer record to sign Mane for £36m from Southampton earlier this summer.
And while the Senegal international already appears to be justifying that fee, Klopp was not getting carried away with Mane's form in the opening stages of the season.
"I really like this player, but I don't like to talk too much after only two games for him," Klopp said.
"We knew of his qualities and how they fit our style, which is why we brought him here.
"It's not that we have to pat ourselves on the back every day at signing him."
Meanwhile, Klopp refused to comment on the speculation surrounding the future of defender Mamadou Sakho.
The France international has been linked with a loan move away from Anfield after he was sent home from Liverpool's pre-season tour of the US for disciplinary reasons.
The 26-year-old is also short of match fitness but Klopp refused to comment on reports linking the defender with a loan move abroad.
"I am happy that I don't talk in situations like this about things like this," he said.
"Everybody who needs to know and be informed about this is informed about this and there are no secrets with the important people, I would say. I have nothing more to say about this at the moment."
