Jordon Ibe has become the 13th victim of Liverpool's current injury crisis after suffering a hamstring strain.
Ibe is out of Liverpool's FA Cup clash at Exeter on Friday evening after suffering the injury in the Reds' 1-0 Capital One Cup win over Stoke on Tuesday, in which he scored the only goal.
Seven of Jurgen Klopp's squad are now out of action with hamstring injuries, with Ibe joining Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Jordan Rossiter and Martin Skrtel currently receiving treatment.
Also out for Liverpool are Danny Ings and Joe Gomez (knee ligament), Kolo Toure (cramp), Jordan Henderson (heel) and Mamadou Sakho (knee) while Jon Flanagan has recovered from a long-term knee injury but is not yet match fit.
Klopp, whose training methods have been under scrutiny, admits he will be fielding an unfamiliar team for the third-round tie at St James Park.
"We have to take the situation like it is and we go to Exeter," he said. "I will be there for sure - and I'll take a few players with me!
"Of course it's a great tournament, we know about this, we have to make decisions in this moment now for the team, for the Liverpool team and my team.
"So we have to make changes, that's all I can say because at this moment I don't know who is available after training but of course we will make changes."
Youngsters Sheyi Ojo, Ryan Kent and Kevin Stewart have been recalled from respective loans at Wolves, Coventry and Swindon, while Tiago Ilori had his loan with Aston Villa cancelled on Thursday and is also in line to be involved.
Out-of-favour Jose Enrique is also likely to make a rare appearance - possibly alongside Ilori in central defence.
