Jurgen Klopp's reaction as Liverpool salvaged a draw with West Brom was "a bit idiotic", says Albion's James McClean.
Klopp exchanged views with Albion counterpart Tony Pulis at various times during a feisty 2-2 draw in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday, and there was no handshake between the pair at the final whistle.
The Reds manager raced to celebrate his team's late equaliser with his players, although he was confronted by West Brom coach Mark O'Connor.
McClean played the whole match, and the 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international was unimpressed by what followed the full-time whistle.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on a visit to Sandwell Hospital children's ward on Wednesday, McClean said: "If I'm being honest, I think he let himself down a bagful on Sunday after the game with his actions.
"I think it was a bit idiotic of him, if I'm completely honest."
Klopp and the Liverpool players linked hands following the match to take a bow in front of the home fans, but McClean did not have any issue with that gesture.
"I see a lot of German teams doing that," he added. "I don't think it was celebrating getting a point, I think it was more showing appreciation to the fans.
"Like I say, a lot of German teams do that, win, lose or draw. I wouldn't read too much into that being a celebration, it's more appreciative towards the fans."
Jordan Henderson put Liverpool ahead after 21 minutes, but goals from Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson turned the game in favour of the visitors.
Divock Origi scored six minutes into stoppage-time, after eight minutes had been added following a serious injury to Dejan Lovren.
