Jurgen Klopp's class is already shining through at Liverpool, according to a "worried" Sir Alex Ferguson.
The German's impact at Anfield has been so immediate Klopp has even found himself facing questions about a possible title challenge in his first season.
Ferguson, who famously made it his mission to "knock Liverpool off their perch" before overhauling the Reds' total of 18 English league titles at Manchester United, admitted back in October he was concerned by Klopp's appointment.
And the German's demeanour in the defeat at Newcastle on Sunday has only strengthened Ferguson's belief Liverpool have a manager of rare quality.
"I'm worried about him because the one thing United don't want is Liverpool to get above us," said the Scot, speaking at the TechCrunch Disrupt London event.
"He's a fantastic personality, with those big white teeth always showing. Even at Newcastle when they lost the second goal he goes over to Steve McClaren to congratulate him. That's class, that. And the work he did at Borussia Dortmund.
"I know him quite well from the coaching seminars. He's going to make a difference at that club with his personality, drive and knowledge. Things are looking up there."
