Steven Gerrard has confirmed he will train with Liverpool next week but ruled out returning to Anfield on a loan move.

Gerrard left his boyhood club after nearly 17 years to join LA Galaxy on an 18-month deal at the end of last season.

The 35-year-old, who admitted he struggled during his first season in America, has since returned to England for a break following Galaxy's exit from the MLS Western Conference play-offs.
