Chelsea are through to the Women's Champions League quarter-finals for the first time after they beat Rosengard 1-0 in Malmo.

The away goal was netted in the 53rd minute by Ji So-yun to seal a 4-0 aggregate victory, who met Crystal Dunn's pass from the left with a first-time shot that appeared to take a deflection off Glodis Viggosdottir.

Ji and particularly Chelsea's former Rosengard player Ramona Bachmann were lively in the first half, trying their luck at goal a number of times each, and Gilly Flaherty passed up a decent opportunity towards the end of the half, sending a free header off-target.

Rosengard had created a good chance of their own in the 12th minute, but Sanne Troelsgaard shot wide.

Any faint hopes on the home side were all but extinguished shortly after the break when Ji scored, leaving the Swedes needing five goals.

And Chelsea might have had more thereafter, with Bachmann, Maren Mjelde and substitute Fran Kirby all being denied by goalkeeper Zecira Musovic.
