Antonio Conte praises his side's reaction after the 2-0 win at Hull

Antonio Conte praised Chelsea's commitment and attitude as they bounced back from two consecutive defeats with a 2-0 win at Hull City.

Having slipped up against Liverpool and Arsenal, the Blues got back to winning ways at the KCOM Stadium thanks to two stunning second-half goals from Willian and Diego Costa.

A first win in three top-flight games moves the Conte's men up to sixth in the Premier League, and the Italian was thrilled at full-time.

"It's a very important win," Conte told Sky Sports. "After two defeats it's not easy because you must work and find the right solution to change and improve.

"We did a good performance with the right intensity and pressure and I like it a lot when the team plays in this way.

"We got a good reaction because after two defeats it is not easy because the confidence is down.

And it was a decision which paid dividends as the Blues recorded only their second clean sheet of the season and gave their manager the response he demanded ahead of kick-off.

"I'm pleased for all of the players because in the Premier League it is the second time we've kept a clean sheet," Conte added. "It is important after two defeats and four games where we conceded two or three goals.

"To finish the game with a clean sheet is important. We scored two goals, in my opinion we could have had more but it's OK, the performance was good.
