John Terry is likely to be ruled out of Chelsea's Friday night fixture with Liverpool, live on Sky Sports, due to an ankle injury picked up at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

Terry, 35, rolled his ankle in a coming together with Swansea's Leroy Fer in the final minutes of Chelsea's 2-2 draw and is said to have bad bruising and swelling under the ankle bone.

The centre-back left the stadium on crutches and took to Instagram to post pictures and videos of the swelling on his ankle and the treatment he was undergoing.

"I don't know the extent of the injury but tomorrow we will see the situation about his ankle. But he is a warrior. I am not worried," said Antonio Conte following the match on Sunday.

After an initial scan proved inconclusive, Terry is set for a further scan on Tuesday with an update from the club expected, though it is understood he is highly doubtful for Friday night's fixture.

Should Terry be ruled out, David Luiz could be in line for the Blues.
