Antonio Conte has taken Chelsea training for the first time

Chelsea forward Oscar says new head coach Antonio Conte impressed the players when he ran his first training session on Wednesday.

And Oscar thinks Chelsea are set for a successful campaign under their new boss, having endured a tumultuous 2015/16 campaign, during which Jose Mourinho was fired after a poor start.

Having taken a short break after guiding Italy to the quarter-finals at Euro 2016, Conte was running the show at Cobham for the first time on Wednesday morning.

And Oscar informed the Chelsea website: "I really liked it and I think the team are really going to improve a lot this season.

"He's very clear about what he wants from us. He spoke to everyone and it was very tactical with some good movements from the players.

"I missed playing and I'm glad to be back. We are all training really hard and looking forward to the pre-season matches.
