Soccer Saturday's Jeff Stelling has completed an epic charity event that has seen him complete 10 walking marathons in 10 days before finishing his trek at Wembley Stadium.

The Sky Sports presenter set off from his home town of Hartlepool on March 21 and stopped off at 31 clubs on the way in order to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Jeff's Men United March is now over, with the final day, March 30, seeing him set off from AFC Wimbledon's ground before arriving at Wembley via Griffin Park, Craven Cottage, Stamford Bridge and Loftus Road.

He will now take a well-earned rest before making a triumphant return to the Soccer Saturday studio this weekend having helped raise more than £300,000 for a very worthy cause.

Asked how he felt after completing the series of gruelling walks, which he completed along with Hartlepool United chief executive Russ Green, Jeff told Sky Sports News HQ: "Relieved, exhilarated and just with a quiet satisfaction.

"I didn't think we were going to do it after the first, second, third day. I didn't think there was any way we could do it but the self-belief gradually grew and it is just fantastic to be here.

"Russ Green's determination knows no bounds. Every morning he would get out of bed and say 'I can't do this'. But he always did, so if he was doing it, I was.

"We have had the support of the football family, we have had so many people who have turned out. Ex-pros, current managers, club chairmen, chief executives, who have all come and walked with us.

"Lots of people from other walks of life as well; politicians, cricketers, rugby players.

"But most of all the inspiration from the people we were with who have prostate cancer, who have lost somebody from prostate cancer, or who have a friend or family member who are fighting prostate cancer.

"They gave us the inspiration, the motivation and the drive."

The efforts of Jeff and those who have walked with him have already raised over £300,000.

"This was meant to raise awareness, the fundraising was just a by-product, so it is absolutely staggering it has got to that sort of level," added Jeff.

To support Jeff's fundraising efforts, Sky Bet are auctioning off shirts from each of the 25 Football League clubs he visited.

"Over 10,000 people die of Prostate Cancer each year. I've been personally affected and it's likely that you know someone who has, too," said Jeff.

I didn’t think we were going to do it after the first, second, third day. I didn’t think there was any way we could do it but the self-belief gradually grew and it is just fantastic to be here.

"I'd like to thank Sky Bet for their support for my Men United March and I'd urge fans to have a bid on one of the shirts in the auctions.

"Alternatively you can text JEFF to 70004 to donate £3 to the March."
