Chelsea 2-1 Dynamo Kiev: Jose Mourinho thanks fans for support
Thursday 5 November 2015 13:16, UK
An emotional Jose Mourinho revelled in Chelsea's 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev and declared the Champions League victory as "my moment."
The Premier League champions have lost six of their opening 11 domestic fixtures and defeat at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night would have put the club's Champions League hopes - and the manager's future - in jeopardy.
But Mourinho said it was a "fantastic feeling" to hear Chelsea's fans chanting his name from first whistle to last as Willian struck with a late free-kick to secure the win.
"This is my moment, because it was amazing," he said. "The moment I came back to the club and we played the first match at home against Hull City, the way the club and stadium welcomed me was amazing.
"But not comparable with today because today comes in a moment where the results are not good. It comes in a moment where you [the media] are asking for my end.

"The fans read newspapers, the fans watch TV, the fans listen to pundits and commentators' opinions, they read blogs.
"It is quite unbelievable what they tried to say today. Today they tried to say 'we want you here' and probably they want also to say to all of you 'let him work, we want him, let him work'.
"I don't have another way to thank them than by giving everything I have, which I have always, which I will do always. It's the only way to thank them for this reaction."
"It is a fantastic feeling."
Chelsea captain John Terry insisted in midweek that the players are "100 per cent" behind their manager, amid reports of dressing room unrest.
And Mourinho was eager to praise his players for their efforts, as well as the fans, as he added: "The players showed once more they want to win. Today they did it.
"Last week no, but they showed again that they want to win and the fans showed again their passion for the club. I think it's fundamentally what they showed, passion for the club.
"To support the club manager, I think, is way of showing respect, but is fundamentally a way to show passion for the club. Amazing, really."
