Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard is hoping to rediscover his form during the international break.

The 24-year-old admits he is "in the worst form of his life" after a difficult start to the season but is determined to hit the ground running when the Blues host Aston Villa in the Premier League next weekend.

Hazard scored a penalty for Belgium in the 4-1 win in Andorra on Saturday, which secured their place in Euro 2016 next summer, and is set to be back in action again in the home game against Israel on Tuesday.

Speaking ahead of the Andorra game, Hazard, who was named Footballer of the Year last season, said: "This is the first time in my career that I have had such a difficult spell.

"I can't really explain it. All I know is that I will need to work hard in order to bounce back.

"I am an optimist and I know I can learn a lot from tough spells. I hope to come back stronger and I am ready to play and do my best.

"I see my two games for Belgium this week as a launch pad for my season with Chelsea.
