Jesse Lingard says that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's brought back 'the United way' as manager of Manchester United

Jesse Lingard says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought "the Manchester United way" back to the club.

The Norwegian has overseen eight straight wins since replacing Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford in December, including Friday night's impressive 3-1 victory at Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round.

And Lingard, who was on target at the Emirates, says Solskjaer has got United's players playing with a smile again.

"Ole has been great since he came in," the forward told Soccer AM. "He has given a lot of advice, and he has let us play free, which is the main thing.

Romelu Lukaku has hailed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's influence following Manchester United's 3-1 victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round

"Football you have to play with freedom, you have to play with that smile on your face, and he has let us do that."

The main difference the former United striker has made, though, is the way in which the team now approach games, according to Lingard.

"Attacking football and playing the ball forward as soon as you can and scoring as many goals as you can," he said. "If they score one, he knows we will score two and he has already had that mindset.

"I feel like we are always confident going into matches, even if they score, we know we are going to score two or three more.

"And our mindset has definitely changed going into big games."

As for Lingard himself, the England international is just happy to be playing football.

"It is good to be in the mix and involved and I am enjoying my football at the moment and playing with a smile on my face," he said.

"And my team-mates around me and the staff are helping me also, so it is good vibes at the moment."
