We round-up the latest Manchester United transfer rumours on Monday, May 21.

United could lose Fellaini on a free transfer after AC Milan offered him a three-year deal, reports The Times.

The 30-year-old is expected to resolve his future before reporting for World Cup duty with Belgium.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho will reportedly be handed £250m to rebuild his Manchester United squad after a season without a trophy at Old Trafford.

The United boss has reportedly handed executive vice chairman Ed Woodward a list of transfer targets that includes Toby Alderweireld, Fred, Jorginho, Jean-Michael Seri, Alex Sandro and Gareth Bale.

Finally, Nemanja Matic believes Manchester United need to sign more experienced players in the transfer window to challenge for silverware next season.

United's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday in the FA Cup final ensured they finished the season without a trophy despite spending almost £170m over the summer, along with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in a straight swap in January.

However, Matic believes United must give Mourinho further financial backing if the side are to compete domestically and in Europe next season.

"I think we need some players with some experience to bring some more qualities to our team," Matic said after the defeat to Chelsea. "After that, we can fight for the title and the Champions League also. I think that we have improved. As you know, United last year were sixth. The year before that, fifth.

"So we improve, we are second. The only team who is better than us this year is Man City. Obviously, they play amazing football. But we are second and we are in the Champions League next year which is the most important thing. As you saw in the game, we tried to play - we played good football - but Chelsea have some players that can punish every mistake like Hazard did so we have to accept to see where we can improve and next year to try and win some trophies."
