Alvaro Morata has told friends his mind is made up to join Manchester United and that a deal "has been done" with Real Madrid, according to the Daily Express.

The 24-year-old - valued at around £70m - is being lined up to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford.

The Spaniard scored 15 goals in 26 games for Real Madrid last season.

United won't sell midfielder Ander Herrera to Barcelona, despite reports the Spanish giants are keen on the Spaniard if they don't fail sign Marco Verratti, according to the Independent.

The Independent understands United will refuse to sell the Spaniard, who impressed under Jose Mourinho last term, and also report there has been no official approach for the 27-year-old.

United are facing disappointment in their efforts to sign Ivan Perisic for a knockdown fee with Inter Milan confident of narrowly avoiding Uefa financial sanctions without having to sell the Croatia forward, according to the Daily Telegraph.
