Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw have been omitted from Manchester United's squad for Thursday's Europa League last-16 first leg tie against FK Rostov in Russia.
Rooney and Shaw started Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at Old Trafford but both were taken off in the 70th minute as United searched in vain for a winning goal.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan returns to United's squad after sitting out the game at the weekend and the EFL Cup final victory over Southampton with a hamstring injury.
The Armenian midfielder participated in the warm down after Saturday's game and Mourinho said afterwards he expected to have him back in time for Monday's FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea.
The fact he is fit for Thursday's game is a welcome boost for a United squad that struggled in his absence on Saturday.
Eric Bailly has not travelled to Russia as he serves a one-match suspension following his sending off against St Etienne in the last round.
Bastian Schweinsteiger has also remained in Manchester to nurse an injury Mouirnho described as "a little thing" at the weekend.
U21 goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara is in the squad to provide cover in the event of an injury to David de Gea or Sergio Romero.
Manchester United squad in full: De Gea, Romero, O'Hara; Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Smalling, Blind, Darmian, Young; Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini, Pogba, Mata, Lingard, Mkhitaryan; Martial, Rashford, Ibrahimovic.
