Henrikh Mkhitaryan reminded Jose Mourinho of his class with a brilliant back-heel assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Manchester United's EFL Cup quarter-final against West Ham.
On a rare start, Mkhitaryan made an impact with just two minutes on the clock, skillfully flicking the ball into Ibrahimovic's path for the Swede to clip over Adrian and open the scoring at Old Trafford.
"It was everything you wanted to see from a Manchester United side in this goal," former United player Phil Neville told Sky Sports.
"Wayne Rooney's pass is unbelievable - through the eye of a needle - and Mkhitaryan sees the run of Zlatan, who sticks it away. It's brilliant interchanging of positions.
"But that flick... that's what Mkhitaryan brings to this team."
Mkhitaryan later set up Anthony Martial and was named man of the match as Manchester United claimed a convincing 4-1 win to reach the semi-finals.
Mourinho piled praise on the Armenian after the final whistle, telling Sky Sports: "I am so happy because today was against a Premier League team with Premier League qualities and characteristics, and that showed clearly his evolution.
"We know the reason why we bought him, and we were waiting for his adaptation, and it looks like it is coming."
