Zlatan Ibrahimovic was taken aback by the man of the match choice after Manchester United's win over Bournemouth.
The Swede, who picked up the award to hand to defender Eric Bailly in the Manchester United dressing room, gestured towards team-mate Wayne Rooney, saying: "I thought it was Wayne."
Ibrahimovic was on target on his Premier League debut, scoring the third goal in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth on Super Sunday, while Rooney scored United's second after Juan Mata had given them the lead.
But it was 22-year-old Ivorian defender Bailly, also on his Premier League debut, who picked up the plaudits, putting in a solid display in the heart of Jose Mourinho's back line.
"The team did good," Ibrahimovic told Sky Sports after the game. "It was a difficult game.
"First half we weren't on 100 per cent but second half it became more easier, more space and we could play more our game, then we scored the second and third one. It was a good game, a good start. It's important to start good."
