Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown believes Zlatan Ibrahimović is the perfect signing for his old club.
The club have yet to confirm his arrival officially but the former Sweden captain announced via his Instagram account on Thursday that 'Manchester United would be his next destination'.
And Brown, who played for United for 15 years from 1996, is convinced the 34-year-old will be a huge hit with Jose Mourinho's side next season.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, he said; "It's a great signing. I think he'll bring something the club needs as he's got that stature about him.
"I'm sure with that signing, other signings will come and that can only be a good thing. The more players you get [of that quality], the better the squad becomes and the better the team becomes and it becomes a battle to get onto that pitch and that's what you need."
Brown, who won seven Premier League medals, two FA Cups, three League Cups and two Champions League medals during his time at United, is training with Blackburn after leaving Sunderland at the end of last season.
The 36-year-old defender only faced Ibrahimovic once during his career, in a charity match, but saw enough to know he will be a huge hit at his new club.
"He's a very good player. It was only a charity match to be fair and I didn't know he was that quick," he said.
"Hes a big lad, has strength, is good on the ball, skillful and he scores goals so I think it's the perfect signing for Manchester United at the moment."
