Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke was highly critical of Louis van Gaal's side after their 2-0 loss at Stoke City on Boxing Day.

United suffered their four straight defeat in all competitions at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday, the first time the club have endured such a run of form since 1961.

Yorke, who played for United between 1998 and 2002, was particularly disappointed with the display of United midfielder Memphis Depay, whose weak back header led to Stoke's opening goal.

And the Trinidadian summed up the Red Devils' display at the Potteries by simply saying: "United were not at the races."
