Tottenham have joined Manchester City and Manchester United in next season's Champions League after their 1-0 win over Newcastle and Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield on Wednesday, but the fourth spot is not yet decided.
Liverpool are in the driving seat. Jurgen Klopp's side currently sit fourth on 72 points - two more than fifth-placed Chelsea - and their superior goal difference (+42 to Chelsea's +27) means they will all but guarantee Champions League qualification as long as they avoid defeat at home to Brighton on Sunday.
Chelsea's only realistic hope is to win away at Newcastle on Sunday and hope that Liverpool are beaten by Brighton.
Stoke City and West Brom are already down and Swansea's prospects look bleak after Huddersfield clinched survival with their unexpected 1-1 draw away to Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Swansea are three points behind 17th-placed Southampton and due to Saints' superior goal difference (-18 to Swansea's -27), their only hope of survival is to beat Stoke and for Southampton to lose to Manchester City with a 10-goal swing.
Arsenal and Burnley are already guaranteed the Europa League spots but there is one remaining place in the top-10 still to play for.
Newcastle currently occupy it despite their 1-0 loss to Tottenham on Wednesday, but they are joined on 41 points by Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Watford, while Brighton - on 40 points - are also in the frame.
Rafael Benitez's side will clinch 10th-place with a win over Chelsea on Sunday, but drop points and Palace, who host West Brom, Bournemouth, who travel to Burnley, Watford, who are away at Manchester United, and Brighton, who face Liverpool at Anfield, will all hope to take advantage.
