Jurgen Klopp said he 'doesn't go home thinking how good Mo Salah is' as he played down the winger's achievement of reaching 20 goals already.
Klopp watched Liverpool moved back into the top four with a scintillating attacking performance that blew away Bournemouth 4-0 on Super Sunday.
Among the scorers was Salah, who notched his 14th Premier League goal and his 20th across all competitions.
With the goal, the Premier League's top scorer became the first Liverpool player to score 20+ goals in a season (all competitions) since Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge both did so during the 2013/14 campaign.
However, Klopp was not in the mood for eulogising about the Egypt international or any of his 'fab four', instead he focused on Liverpool's team ethic.
He said: "What happens if he doesn't score from now on. Twenty in one season! I'm looking forward to him staying in shape.
"He didn't score against West Brom - we needed it much more in that game than today. I have no problem with it. As a manager you don't like talking about Mo. He knows how much I respect him. You talk about fab four - I don't like that name either.
"I don't go home thinking 'Mo Salah - oh my god, how good is he' - that's not how it works. He's a very important player for us - like the others. But it's easier for him than others at the moment to finish, hopefully it stays like this."
After back-to-back draws at Anfield with Everton and West Brom, Klopp's team jumped above Burnley and Arsenal with their fourth away win in a row - a run that has seen them score 16 goals. It tees up a tasty Premier League encounter at Arsenal on Friday night, live on Sky Sports.
Klopp admitted Manchester City will have to "struggle like no team has struggled before" if his side have a chance of catching them, but is buoyant about the challenges facing Liverpool this season in the Premier League and in cup competitions.
"If I stopped working hard when I couldn't be the champion in the league then I wouldn't be here," Klopp added.
"We have so many things to play for. I'm enjoying the season - it's really hard and intense.
"It's unbelievable how many points you need at the end of the season to get anything. Most of the time our football is nice to watch and successful.
"We play next Friday against Arsenal - wow. That's a really hard one. I'm looking forward to it."
