Swansea City manager Paul Clement is demanding three points in his side's final game of the season at home to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.

The Swans' Premier League survival was only confirmed last weekend after Hull City's 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.

However, despite already being safe from the drop, Clement wants to finish the season on a high by getting the better of the Baggies at the Liberty Stadium.

West Brom head coach Tony Pulis has given his support to FA plans to introduce retrospective bans for players found guilty of diving

"We're delighted to have got safe with a game to spare, but we still want to finish strongly," he said in his pre-match press conference.

"The season is not over yet and we want a good performance at home - there's lots of motivation going into the last game. If we win on Sunday, we could end up with 29 points from the second half of the season. So let's finish in style."

Paul Clement says he will speak to John Terry about a possible move to Swansea at the end of the season

His opposite number, meanwhile, is eyeing up a win that could yet see West Brom finish as high as eight in the Premier League, if Southampton were to lose at home to Stoke City.

"The results have been disappointing but apart from maybe one or two, I think the players have given everything and have been a little bit unfortunate not to get anything," said Tony Pulis.

"We could still finish eighth with that win, which would be an absolutely fantastic achievement for this club, the players, and everybody associated with the football side."

Team news

Wayne Routledge and Angel Rangel both return to the Swansea squad. Routledge has been sidelined for six weeks with a hernia problem, while Rangel has not played since breaking a bone in his foot in early March.

Record-signing Borja Baston (knee) is set to miss out with head coach Paul Clement promising to select the strongest side possible after Swansea secured their top-flight status last weekend.

Manchester City 3-1 West Brom

The Baggies, meanwhile, are set to still be missing midfielder Matt Phillips due to a hamstring problem, although striker Salomon Rondon and centre-back Gareth McAuley are both likely to feature having recovered from hamstring and thigh injuries.

Match stats

Swansea have won four of their five home Premier League encounters with West Brom (L1), hitting three past the Baggies on three occasions.

In fact, Pulis has yet to record a top-flight victory at Liberty Stadium (D1 L3), with his sides scoring just twice in four games.

Rondon has scored four goals in his last two appearances against Swansea, including a hat-trick of headers in the reverse fixture back in December at the Hawthorns.

The Swans have a mixed record on the final day of the Premier League season since they joined in 2011, winning and losing twice, whilst drawing the other.

Sunderland 0-2 Swansea

The Baggies have a dismal final day record in the Premier League, winning just once in 10 seasons (D6 L3), with that one victory coming in May 2005, when they started the day in 20th but managed to survive and finish in 17th.

Merson's prediction

West Brom have had a hard season and I think Swansea will end on a massive high.

West Brom haven't had the greatest end to the season, but when they went on that good run earlier in the season, they won a lot of games. What follows easy games though, is hard games and that's what happened. You have to win the easier fixtures which they did and they are safe so job done.

Paul Clement says he will have talks with Swansea's owners at the weekend about the futures of Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson

Look at the teams who are going down - Sunderland and Middlesbrough are big clubs and Hull have a big stadium. I think anyone who stays up has done a great job in this day and age, especially with the bottom-half teams.

PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1 (15/2 with Sky Bet)

Betting

Swansea are even money with Sky Bet, who make West Brom 14/5 outsiders, while pricing the draw at 12/5. Fernando Llorente is seen as the favourite to score first at 4/1, followed by Gylfi Sigurdsson at 9/2, while Salomon Rondon and Hal Robson-Kanu are priced at 13/2 for the away side. The Baggies are 9/1 to drop into the bottom half this season, while their hosts are at 2/1 to be relegated to the Sky Bet Championship next season.
