Sky Sports readers are on the brink of defying 12,000/1 odds with their pre-season Premier League table prediction.

Last June, ahead of the 2016/17 season, we asked you to rank where you thought each Premier League team would finish the campaign.

Tens of thousands of you voted and, 11 months on, with just over two weeks of the season remaining, the predicted table is incredibly close to how the league has panned out.

Not only did you correctly select which teams would be in the top seven, five of those teams are currently in the exact positions predicted.

Indeed, it would only take Manchester City and Southampton to win their games in hand over Liverpool and West Brom, respectively, for the entire top eight to have been correctly forecast by Sky Sports readers.

From Chelsea's resurgence and Tottenham's impressive title challenge, to Manchester United and Arsenal's struggles to reach the top four, you have called all of the major stories at the top of the Premier League.

According to Sky Bet, calling the correct top seven at the start of the season would have earned odds of 12,165/1.

At the other end of the table, you also called five of the current bottom six - although, admittedly, the exact position calls are not as eerily accurate as they are at the top of the league!

Check out the predicted table below, which shows just how knowledgeable our readers are:
